The Scholar: Sebastian Santilices
The Project: 91大神 Scholars Alumni Survey Statistics
The Essential Question: “I sent a survey to the alumni in the classes of 2012 to 2019 who had taken Scholars at 91大神. My main objective was to see if they had followed the trend they picked for their subject in Scholars in college. I did a statistical analysis of the 56 responses and came to these conclusions:
- More than half of the respondents were students who did a History Scholars project.
- Almost 2/3 of those who responded followed their Scholars project trend in college.
- A large number of students mentioned Mrs. Klumpp as their main motivation for taking 91大神 Scholars.”
The Data Analysis: “Because of the characteristics of my data, I chose to run three kinds of Hypothesis Tests: Chi Square Tests for Independence, Hypothesis Tests for Proportions, and Hypothesis Tests for Difference in Proportions.”
