
Not to be outdone that winter, the girls ski team in the winter of 1980 also put together a campaign worthy of Hall of Fame status. The girls team went a remarkable 15-0 in the regular season that winter to win the league and PEAGIS championships, then went on to finish second in New Englands. The team was co-captained that winter by Sue White Clifford 鈥81 and Suzanne S. Snyder 鈥80, with White placing first in the slalom and giant slalom races at New Englands before racing at Junior Nationals, while Snyder placed third in the slalom and giant slalom at the championships. The rest of Coach Patricia Smith鈥檚 team included Harriet Tatro DeVerry 鈥81, Leslie Lucier Marino 鈥81, Nicole Patenaude 鈥83, Michele Eaton Koenig 鈥81, and Mary Tullis Engvall 鈥81鈥攚ho, along with both of the Sues, were called the 鈥渋ncredible 7鈥 in that year鈥檚 Log yearbook鈥攁long with Nicky Gross Pierro 鈥81, Katherine Mattison Moeker 鈥81, Angela Boyle Creta 鈥83, Kile Keever 鈥82, and Valli Kleven 鈥82.
