Marion Ayeh ’26 Signs to Play for UConn Women’s Soccer

During a special ceremony on Monday, January 23, members of the 91大神 community came together to celebrate Marion Ayeh ’26 on her decision to play soccer at the collegiate level.

A postgraduate from Ghana, Ayeh parlayed a successful fall on the pitch for the Wildcats into a spot on the UConn women’s soccer team. UConn, a Division I program, plays in the Big East, and made the Big East Tournament semifinals this past season.

“The whole team brought us the success we had this season, but Marion was a large contributor,” head coach Sara Reid said of Ayeh’s contributions this past fall. “She was involved in nearly every goal we scored, bringing intensity to the front line and setting the tone in big moments. Beyond the goals and assists, she brought a contagious energy to our team鈥攚hether it was her music, her jokes, or her dancing in warm up that kept everyone connected and laughing. She made our team better on and off the field, and while we鈥檒l miss her impact, we鈥檙e incredibly excited to see her take this next step in college.”
